Innocence Project Documentary

Today is Social Work 325, we watched a documentary on the Innocence Project!
The documentary shown in class today was very eye opening. In the case of Vincent Moto , he was accused of raping a woman that he had never came in contact with.  He would be found guilty according to the “justice system” and sentenced to prison for ten years.  Had Vincent had money to pay for a good lawyer rather than a public defender, the access to a DNA test would probably have been more accessible.  This documentary made me reflect on how money can truly get you out of things. Life can be taken away at the right price.   As someone aspiring to become a social worker I feel it is good for us to see different aspects of social work simply because not all of us know exactly what kind of work we want to do.  Also, it gives us knowledge of different organizations and resources like the Innocence Project.

Hidden Colors Documentary Trailer

Hidden Colors! You should WATCH it ;)

I saw this documentary at Stephen F. Austin State University and I've been at the school for three years and I believe it is the best program an organization has put on. I am very proud of Men of Achievement for showing this documentary and having an intellecutal forum afterwards.
